An extra large opening is airy and allows for easy on and off while two Velcro® straps across the instep create an adjustable yet secure fit. Other amenities include the Plus Fitting System® featuring a Drilex® lined polyurethane insole that controls odor and an additional footbed spacer; both footbeds can be removed for added and double depth or to fit prescribed orthotics. Added stability comes from a firm heel counter and the dual shank system - an embedded fiberglass shank and external TPU shank - provide structural support and rigidity. The Drew Solo orthopedic shoes for women are built atop a cushioning EVA midsole and a durable rubber outsole with a rocker bottom and flared forefoot for greater surface contact through the gait cycle.
