Genuine Grip Shoes provide slip resistant traction on a variety of surface types. The mens Dress Oxford features a professional look with a genuine leather upper. These slip resistance shoes come equipped with a Walking On Air Footbed that features a Dri-Lex® top cover to wick away moisture from the foot while reducing the growth of bacteria and fungi. Aerodynamic air channels at the heel also guide air flow to the forefoot where perspiration occurs the most. The removable footbed is ergonomically designed and anatomically shaped to offer support and cushioning when standing on hard surfaces. A lightweight midsole absorbs shock while the the embedded shank ensures structural rigidity. The mens Dress Oxford from Genuine Grip is finished with a slip resistant rubber outsole that provides excellent traction on oily and wet surfaces.
What is Slip Resistance?
- There are currently no "pass/fail" requirements for slip resistance testing - only general industry standards
- On a scale where 0.0 is the absence of friction and 1.0 is very high friction, a higher score means better slip resistance
- A slip resistance value of 0.50 on wet vinyl floors is generally classified as slip resistant
- The US footwear industry quotes a value minimum 0.25 to 0.30 as a safety margin for outsoles tested on quarry tile floors that are greasy, oily, and wet
