The Genuine Grip Steel Toe Waterproof Boots for Men provide protection against impact and slips in the work place. These waterproof work boots for men feature a 6" boot shaft and an upper made from quality leather for added durability and resistance against water and oil. A standard feature is the Walking On Air Footbed that features a Dri-Lex® top cover to wick away moisture and reduce the growth of bacteria and fungi. Aerodynamic air channels guide air flow from the contoured heel to the forefoot area where perspiration occurs the most. Added support and cushioning come from the ergonomic shape and anatomical design, reducing stress at the knees and lower back when standing on hard surfaces. The Steel Toe Waterproof Boots also feature a lightweight midsole provides shock absorption, an embedded plastic shank provides stability and the soft insole board allows for ample flex when walking. These Genuine Grip Boots are finished with the patent pending Genuine Grip Slip Resistant Rubber Outsole that provides superior traction on wet and oily surfaces.
What is Slip Resistance?
- There are currently no "pass/fail" requirements for slip resistance testing - only general industry standards
- On a scale where 0.0 is the absence of friction and 1.0 is very high friction, a higher score means better slip resistance
- A slip resistance value of 0.50 on wet vinyl floors is generally classified as slip resistant
- The US footwear industry quotes a value minimum 0.25 to 0.30 as a safety margin for outsoles tested on quarry tile floors that are greasy, oily, and wet
