The Genuine Grip Sport Classic in White is a slip resistant work shoe that has an excellent traction rating on wet and oily surfaces. The upper is constructed using high quality leather for lasting durability. The mesh lining combined with the Dri-Lex® covered footbed help to manage moisture while reducing the growth of odor causing bacteria and fungi. These slip resistant shoes for women come equipped with a removable, Walking On Air Footbed that utilizes aerodynamic air channels to guide the flow of air to the forefoot where the most perspiration occurs. The footbeds anatomical design and ergonomic shape offer standing support and reduce the strain on the lower back and knees. Additional shock absorption comes from the lightweight midsole while an embedded plastic shank provides structural rigidity and support during the gait cycle. The patent pending Genuine Grip Slip Resistant Rubber Outsole completes these shoes with its superior traction rating.
What is Slip Resistance?
- There are currently no "pass/fail" requirements for slip resistance testing - only general industry standards
- On a scale where 0.0 is the absence of friction and 1.0 is very high friction, a higher score means better slip resistance
- A slip resistance value of 0.50 on wet vinyl floors is generally classified as slip resistant
- The US footwear industry quotes a value minimum 0.25 to 0.30 as a safety margin for outsoles tested on quarry tile floors that are greasy, oily, and wet
